OPEN CULTURE
About the Foundation
Art will save the world
“The Open Culture” Foundation was established in 2014 to support and promote projects in the field of ecology, culture and art. One of the priorities of the Foundation is assistance in organizing exhibitions and educational activities.
Also, the foundation carries out a wide range of consulting and information activities - from legal and audit advice to assistance in financing and organizing working groups of the most striking and interesting projects in the field of fine arts and charity.
We support various cultural initiatives: exhibitions, educational, outreach and publishing programs. One of the most important areas is the support of regional programs and the establishment of strong communication bridges. To do this, we are organizing an innovative field for cultural dialogue.
Art is what unites people of different cultures and ideologies in different parts of the world. On our own, we try to provide information support for cultural projects, as well as to support educational and other projects related to environmental protection in every possible way. We strive to achieve our goals through close interaction with the media, publication of materials, lectures and other cultural events.
All funds raised by us go to the implementation of the above tasks.
The Cannes Film Festival, held from May 14-25, 2024, was a dazzling convergence of cinema and global impact, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Open Culture Foundation and the Better World Fund.

Charity Event. Venice Film Festival.
We are happy to announce that our Foundation is developing actively and continues to declare itself worldwide. This time, the red carpet met us at the well-known Venice Film Festival. That's where the Better World Forum charity event took place, in partnership with our Open Culture Foundation.
t was a confusing year, but on the other way an interesting one. After a protracted lockdown, the festival took place and we held our event!
- We have experienced how to adapt flexibly to the Covid-19 restrictions
- This brought us a new collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Environment and Water
- The event gathered a lot of positive and warm responses, which gave us motivation to work further, create new and carry our Charity Mission!
We express our deep gratitude to our partners and those who support our Foundation and our Great Mission.

Kate Fowle will meet with Jerry Gorov
Garage’s chief curator Kate Fowle will meet with Jerry Gorov, now president of the Louise Bourgeois Foundation in Easton, to talk …
The life and work of the outstanding artist and, in particular, about the history of the creation of the "Cells" cycle, in which Gorovoy was directly involved as an assistant.
Louise Bourgeois is an American painter, sculptor and graphic artist of French origin. She was born December 25, 1911 (died May 31, 2010) in Paris. As a teenager, Louise was admitted to the prestigious Lyceum of Fenelon. She was very close to her mother, Josephine. The girl had to endure the untimely death of her mother, which was a terrible blow for her — especially in light of the tense relationship with her father. "My emotions are out of proportion to my physical dimensions. Not the emotions themselves, but their strength — it is simply unbearable for me. So I give their energy".
The work of Louise Bourgeois is often called the encyclopedia of contemporary art, as it reflects all the main directions of art of the twentieth century — cubism, futurism, surrealism, constructivism and abstractionism. Louise Bourgeois created her own special symbolic vocabulary, in which personal experiences and fantasies are concretized into expressive images. For example, using a spider is not a sign of arachnophobia (fear of spiders), but rather a sign of a wrapping and patient mother. In the same way, sewing needles are not aggressive symbols, but are used to represent loss recovery.
Bourgeois’s "Spiders" are widely known — metal sculptures of huge spiders. In 1999, the artist received the Golden Lion at the 48th Venice Biennale.
13th annual Frieze London contemporary art fair
The Frieze art fair for VIP guests was opened today, where the founder of the Open Culture Foundation Natalia Resh is currently present, to convey the atmosphere of the event.
Frieze had not yet had time to open, and a life-long line was already waiting to open outside. Despite the cold and wind, the audience was hot and very lively in anticipation of the opening and what awaits them behind the still closed doors.
