Better World Fund Charity Supports The Virtuosa foundation during the 75th Cannes Film Festival.

One of the main events of 2022 is the 75th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival, which took place from the 17th to the 28th of May 2022.

The world’s largest film festival and the main prize of competitive screenings, the Palme d’Or remains, along with the Oscars, the most prestigious award in the world of cinema.
A representative international jury, which includes such world-famous filmmakers as British-American actress and director Rebecca Hall, Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, American director Jeff Nichols, Norwegian director Joachim Trier, French actor Vincent Lindon, this year seriously worked on choosing laureates and prize-winners.

Chic Icon could not leave the world event unnoticed and with incredible pride and honor supported the gala dinner event of its close partner Better World Fund – the Parisian charity Fund that uses art and film to raise awareness of pressing global issues.
At the famous hotel JW Marriott in the presence of Her Excellency First Lady of the Ivory Coast, Madame Dominique Ouattara, world-famous actress Sharon Stone, as well as Amruta Fadnavis, Kiera Chaplin, and actresses Rossi De Palma brought together speakers from around the world and filmmakers who joined forces to raise awareness about food, health, and sustainability at the Cannes Film Festival 2022.
The breathtakingly beautiful event featured an exciting live auction chaired by Sharon Stone benefiting the Virtuosa Foundation for an ongoing project to expand and improve the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw, Poland.
The awards ceremony also took place during the gala dinner, with a total of five awards presented to people who are making a difference and positively impacting the world and transforming our agricultural and food systems.

With its philosophy and mission, the Foundation attracts amazingly talented people. Collaboration with Cathy Kleitz is a prime example of amazing and deep synergy. A long passion for fashion paved Cathy Kleitz’s path without ever deviating from this world of beauty, dreams, and creativity. Her gift, because what else to call it, Cathy Kleitz, Franco-Ivorian and Parisian at heart, has made it her profession. It is also this compassion that led her to realize in collaboration with Manuel Collas de la Roche, President, and Founder of the Better World Fund, a souvenir bracelet bearing Mahatma Gandhi’s quote “Be the change you want to see in the world”.

“I was particularly aware of the humanitarian cause that Manuel Collas de la Roche supports with The Better World Fund, whose actions concern the main challenges facing the world today. How could the world of fashion and jewelry contribute to the building and not be absent from this plea for a planet of which we are often indelicate tenants? How to move from membership to action? I then imagined a non-gendered jewel, sober and elegant, carrying strength in it thanks to the selected materials, gold and ruby color, symbols of power and passion.” A bracelet imbued with meaning that is pretty to wear, likely to seduce all generations and all origins. Part of the sales of this bracelet will be donated to the Better World Fund for a humanitarian Program.

The event continued in a wonderful atmosphere of musical performances from outstanding artists: Daniel ALHAIBY, Patrycja Piekutowska, NAIAN, Arnaud Frachet, and Franck GRANDPRÉ touched the deep emotions and souls of the public.

As an official media partner, Chic Icon is proud to support all Better World Forum events dedicated to sustainable development, charity, and maintaining the ecology of our planet.
